Technology plays a highly important role in today's world. From computers to cell phones, social media websites to electronic medical equipment, technology has revolutionized the way modern people live and interact with one another. Perhaps one of the most beneficial aspects of modern technology is the plethora of ways in which information can be shared quickly and easily. People now have the ability to communicate and connect with others on a whim, thanks to resources such as email and texting where messages and information can be relayed essentially instantaneously. Families can take photos and share special moments with relatives across the country thanks to modern technology, all while eliminating the waiting period caused by the postal service. Computers can be used for all kinds of things, but they seem to be especially useful in education and the work force. Students today have computers to thank for the indispensable resources available for their usage such as online classes, document editing programs, and more. Workers now have ways to organize files digitally rather than using up valuable office space and natural resources to create paper files. They can use computer programs to organize their information and arrange it into highly affective reports and displays for clients. Finally, another important role played by technology in the world today is in the medical field. Thanks to modern inventions and discoveries, technology is a driving force in what is keeping people healthy and alive. Technology has not only improved upon devices which we've been using for centuries, such as the thermometer, it has brought about new and highly useful tools such as the 4D ultrasound machine or the artificial heart. Even many surgical procedures are performed entirely by using robotics. These are only a few examples of the infinite possibilities brought about by the advances in modern technology. As time passes, we will likely make many new discoveries and continue to improve upon life as we know it, all thanks to the science of technology.
